After a horrible week of news from Boston and Texas how about a smile? This story is awesome! Ted Kremer, the Reds batboy who happens to have Down Syndrome, said two things to his favorite player Todd Frazier before he stepped up to the p...late: "C’mon, hit me a home run, I love you". Guess what happened? It's like out of a Disney movie. Very cool.
The horrific incident in Boston has shaken the nation and led to many uncomfortable conversations between parents and children.
How do we explain the unthinkable?
Jack is only 4-years-old but I know it's only a matter of time before he starts to ask Devon and I about events in the news.
A friend sent me this link yesterday and I thought I would share it with you. I hope it helps lighten the load a bit and maybe it will provide you with a few ways to approach your children.

Thanks to Jeff Capper and all of you that took part in the KXIC Bracket Challenge! Jeff was the champion of the tournament and this morning he co-hosted the morning show with me. He did a great job and he said he had a blast. Jeff and his wife Monica also won tickets to see Cabaret at the Coralville Center for the Performing Arts and he won an 8-pack of tickets to see the Cedar Rapids Titans from our KXIC Suite.
It was another great year and if you missed out on the challenge be sure to sign up in 2014!
