KXIC News Reporter/ InternGather, record and write local, state and university news for air. Attend city council, school board, board of supervisors and various University of Iowa events. Interviews could lead to on-air work/shifts. Minimum number of expected weekly hours: 20. Some weekend work may be scheduled. Own transportation is required. Up to 10 news hours per week will be compensated ($6-7/hour). Could lead to permanent part-time.
Majors Preferred: Broadcasting, Communications, Journalism, English
Minimum Class Level: Junior. Underclassmen with previous broadcasting or journalism experience will be considered.
